Silverline Automotive - Car Review from Vancouver, Washington

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I purchased a vehicle from these losers almost a year ago. Then my engine blew luckily I got a warranty to cover it but they damaged my car in the process. Their main excuse they like to bring to the table is they had to do so much for my car to be covered well my car is exactly how I bought it from them so it's not my fault they sold me the car like that knowing warranty wouldn't cover it. They told me I was getting a "brand new" engine I have texts showing that when later on come to find out it's a engine with 70,000 miles. They are very unprofessional by texting me about my car your a business make phone calls don't text your customers. When they finally called saying my car was done it idled high (3000rpm) when cold and my driver side wheels were finger tight. My front end has damage that they told me I could pay to fix and my car is half a quart over full of oil. Also my headlight is out none of these things they will own up to. I hope people take this advice unlike I did and don't buy from them. And to add to all this both times I've been back there's been customers cars smoking outside and they were upset 1 when I bought my car and when I got my car back from getting a new engine. **** these guys they are a bunch of sketchy lying bastards.

Misleading information concerning warranty information

This messages covers not only the Silverline Automotive dealership in Portland, Oregon, but also the aftermarket warranty company Royal Administration services inc. I live in spokane washington, and had this vehicle shipped up to me from portland oregon. I was looking for an 07 Impreza WRX STi, stumbled upon Silverline automotive with growing interest as I continued to look deeper into their website for the car I was searching for. The purpose being multistandard in being nice to look at, good for snow and ice, and a general point a to point b vehicle. I had heard great reviews from others concerning this vehicle so I pursued deeper into this dealership. Since I wanted to get all the information about the vehicles sold there, I grilled the sales manager with questions concerning the car, the warranty and servicing of the vehicles that go through the dealership. After 4 hours one day, and another 2 hours the next, I felt confident I found the answers I was looking for and that this dealership at least seemed to have a spine and wasnt trying to manipulate me. I was seemingly wrong. I also have conversations with Royal Administration Services concerning the warranty, both the dealership and warranty company claimed, regardless of if there was aftermarket parts on the vehicle as the vehicle was sold to me, that those parts would be covered. The warranty was a premier warranty that covered literally all of the drive train, no wear items, and no body work. Understandable and I settled on that, especially with being told the car would be covered with the parts already installed that were aftermarket. I did not intend on modifying the vehicle until the warranty expired. The car came with aftermarket sway bars and something to lower the vehicle from stock height. The problem was encountered months down the road after I buy the vehicle. It was winter and I hadnt really driven very fast in the car not wanting to wreck it, essentially maintain it religiously as I could have. The engine starts knocking loudly, I start researching the issue, figure out its obviously not a good thing, stop driving the car and put it into the subaru dealership for repairs. All good right? Warranty company is going to come out and inspect it, warranty is going to cover the engine work, all good right? NO. Not good. The warranty company and dealership lied to me both, saying aftermarket parts would be covered in the vehicle so long as the vehicle wasnt modified from how I bought it. The most ridiculous thing is, the ENGINE wasnt covered because the car had aftermarket suspension on it that the DEALERSHIP SOLD ME. Again... the dealership and the warranty company both confirmed that the engine would be covered regardless if there was aftermarket parts. At this point, the warranty company cancels my claim, the subaru of spokane dealership wants 5 grand to fix my car at this point. Later to mention that they need 10 grand after closer inspection. With labor was around 13 to 14 grand. So I rescued my car from the dealership, engine in the back of my little truck, and the rest of any pieces chucked into the back of my STi that was towed to the driveway of my house. I cancelled my warranty that DIDNT WORK FROM THE START AS NO ONE MADE ME AWARE OF, only got 70% of the 2200.00 that I paid into it back, and it got sent to USAA, the leinholder, and not me. The check hasnt even been sent to USAA and its been around 16 days. I try to negotiate with silverline to pay me the difference of what I lost with the warranty, the warranty company as well, due to the fact that I wasnt able to use the warranty from the start, and both deny me. Royal admin services just tells me we arent paying you the difference regardless, and silverline never called me back regardless of my frequent calls to touch up on this matter. It was always, ill talk to this guy, and this guy, and this guy, and this guy, and .... uh.....uhhhhhh..... Ill get back to you... yeah. No, he never did. So now, Im 9000 dollars further in debt from a personal loan I took out, plus what I lost from the warranty which I calculated at around 600 dollars. This is on top of the 18000 dollars I have to pay back for the car as is. Though I dont count the 18k as a loss, as Im going to fix and keep the car. Personally, I would just like the difference of the warranty back at this point, at the same time, working with others, many many others who have had horrid experiences with this dealership to blacklist their dealerships name.
